Girl Went to California
Singer Renata Vontobel was born and raised in a family of musicians, being the niece of Michel Vontobel, drummer of bands such as Video Hits, Bidê ou Balde, Vespas Mandarinas, Tom Bloch and Frank Jorge. She started working in the area when she was 12 years old, when she released her first EP “Rê”, influenced by the 80’s pop/rock. Today at 20 years old, Renata is going strong on an international career.
In 2017 she moved to LA to study at Musicians Institute, meeting the producers Rob C. and Dean Jahoon Gu, who wrote the singles “Broken Promises” and “A Secret”, respectively, that were released in 2018, same year that she performed in famous Californian venues such as Whisky A Go Go and State Social House.
2019 reserves new things in her career as in march she will be releasing her new single “Stellar”, that tells the story of a distant relationship between a girl and an astronaut. For the second semester she is working on new material for her next EP containing 5 songs, 4 of them brand new.
