Bringing back the glory of pop music is the dream and goal of singer-songwriter Renata Vontobel. Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, she grew up highly influenced by American music and classic teen television shows. Her biggest inspirations are late 2000’s pop artists such as Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus. The upbeat feel-good sounds that personified 1980’s teen pop songs also helped her further develop her own material that is an edgy mix of rock and sugar tinged pop melodies that compliments the sweetness of her vocals, creating an uplifting groove with fun lyrics to sing along to.

At the moment Renata is working on her next single called “Destination”, this song was written about her music journey in America and how much she enjoys doing what she loves in this country. “It’s a song to celebrate our journey to this country, many of my friends and I went through so much in order to follow our dreams and here we are in Los Angeles working on our music and seeing the impact it has in other people’s lives”- tells the singer about her unreleased project.

Renata’s song “Stellar”, her previous release, was very well received being reviewed by blogs such as Buzz Music, having mentions in Music Connection and being played at GLAUDI by Johana Hernandez’s show at LA I Heart Fashion, during LA’s fashion week. “Stellar” tells the story of a long-distance relationship that the singer went through. The song theme was based on “The Outer Space”, relating how big the distance is between her and her beloved one, as if one of them was in Earth and the other somewhere else in the universe, to bring that feeling to life the guitar riff and the vocal harmonies work together in the chorus creating an atmospherical sensation.

The Brazilian singer is very lucky to have grown in a musical family, constantly receiving love and support from them, specially from her uncle, Michel Vontobel, well-known drummer in her country for bands such as Bidê ou Balde and  Tom Bloch. He introduced her to the industry at a very young age, and produced her first EP when she was only 13. Until today they work with each other and they form a great team putting together his years of experience and her knowledge of the current music industry and of the young adults, as she is one herself.

In 2017 she moved to Los Angeles to expand her knowledge about the music industry, receiving an associate degree from Musicians Institute as a vocalist. Since then she has been producing and releasing new songs, such as the collaborations “A Secret” and “Broken Promises”, written by Dean Gu and Rob C. respectively, and her most recent single “Stellar”.
